Dubai is one of the few cities in the world where a Rolls-Royce outside a hotel lobby or a Lamborghini on
Sheikh Zayed Road is an everyday sight. Renting one yourself is simpler than most visitors expect.
This guide covers prices, documents, deposits, tolls and the best roads to enjoy, so you can book with confidence.
How much does it cost to rent a luxury car in Dubai?
At LuxDrive Dubai, daily rates run from AED 300 / day for a premium SUV or sedan
to AED 7,500 / day for the most exclusive models.
As a guide,
luxury sedans from AED 450 / day, luxury SUVs from AED 300 / day, sports cars from AED 500 / day, supercars from AED 2,500 / day, convertibles from AED 600 / day.
The price you see is the price you pay: insurance, delivery within Dubai, a full tank and a daily mileage
allowance are included, and 5% VAT is shown in every quote. Optional extras such as a chauffeur, a child seat
or an additional driver are listed separately before you confirm.
Daily, weekly or monthly rental?
Longer rentals cost less per day. Weekly rates apply automatically from 7 days and monthly
rates from 30 days, with a pooled mileage allowance across the whole rental. Residents and
companies who need a car for several months can choose long-term leasing,
with maintenance, insurance and a replacement car included, or open a corporate account
with monthly invoicing.
Minimum age and documents
Most luxury sedans and SUVs can be rented from age 21, while supercars, sports cars and Rolls-Royce models
require drivers aged 25 or over. The exact minimum age is shown on every car page.
- UAE residents need an Emirates ID, a UAE driving licence and a credit card in the main driver's name.
- Tourists need a passport with a visit visa or entry stamp, their home-country licence and, depending on where it was issued, an International Driving Permit.
You can send your documents on WhatsApp before delivery, so there is no paperwork at the handover.
Security deposit, Salik tolls and traffic fines
A refundable security deposit is pre-authorised on your credit card when the car is delivered. The amount
depends on the car, and it is released once any Salik tolls and traffic fines have been checked. Every car
has a Salik tag fitted, so you drive through Dubai's toll gates without stopping; crossings are charged at
the standard RTA rate and itemised for you. Traffic fines are passed on at cost, with a full breakdown.
Tips for driving in Dubai
- Traffic drives on the right, and speed limits are clearly signposted and enforced by cameras across the city.
- The UAE has zero tolerance for drink-driving, and using a handheld phone while driving is prohibited.
- Everyone in the car must wear a seat belt, and young children need a suitable child seat, which we can provide.
- Most public parking is paid through meters or the RTA app; hotels, malls and attractions usually offer valet parking.
- Avoid the busiest commuting hours on Sheikh Zayed Road if you want to enjoy the drive rather than the traffic.
The best drives from Dubai
- Jumeirah Beach Road and Palm Jumeirah: beach views, the Burj Al Arab and the Atlantis crescent, ideal for a convertible at sunset.
- Downtown Dubai at night: Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Zayed Road and the Museum of the Future, lit up after dark.
- Hatta: around 90 minutes away, with mountain roads, dams and kayaking in the Hajar Mountains.
- Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah: the UAE's highest peak, reached by a spectacular road of switchbacks, about two hours from Dubai.
- Abu Dhabi: the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Corniche and Yas Marina Circuit, about 90 minutes along the coast. We can also deliver and collect your car in Abu Dhabi.
Self-drive or chauffeur?
Self-drive is perfect when the driving is the experience. For business days,
weddings, shopping or an evening out, a chauffeur service lets you relax in the back
while a professional, uniformed driver handles the route and the parking. We also arrange
airport transfers with meet-and-greet at DXB and DWC, and dressed
wedding cars for your special day.
